What is Ipe

Brazilian Ipe is by far one of the most luxurious decking materials. Ipe offers an extremely dense, tight grained wood. Generally a deep rich brown with some pieces displaying red and amber hues. It's an environmentally responsible choice which naturally resists rot, decay, insects, and mold without the use of toxic chemicals used in other decking products. It is naturally fire resistant and has been awarded an 'A1' rating, like metal.

On a deck floor, no screws should be visible! This makes every step within the construction extremely crucial to ensure that the wood boards are aligned properly and visible screws on railings and sidings are a minimum.
